Ever seen the movie The Wolf of Wall Street?

Even if you haven’t, you probably know the plot.

Guy on Wall Street sells investments, makes a fortune, crosses the line into illegal behavior… and eventually goes to jail.

But before all the illegal stuff…

He figured out something very important:

A good salesman can make an unbelievable amount of money selling investments on commission.

Now fast forward to today.

A lot of the big-box investment firms still operate on incentives that reward selling.

Not necessarily what’s best for you.

But what pays them.

That’s why firms continue pushing things like bonds and packaged products that statistically haven’t performed the way most people think they have.

Now to be clear:

I’m not saying these firms are breaking the law.

What I am saying is this:

When someone gets paid more to move your money…

they are incentivized to move your money.

That creates a very important question:

Are you getting financial advice?

Or are you sitting across from a salesperson with a finance license?

Because those are two very different things.

And unfortunately, most people don’t realize the difference until years later.

Find out how we are different. Grab a time on my calendar HERE.
